Williams was wearing a walking boot...
Williams was wearing a walking boot that ran up to his knee on his right leg, for what he termed a "sprain" of his foot, the Newark Star-Ledger reports. Williams said that while team doctors have assured him that nothing is broken, wearing the boot is more of a precautionary measure. "Right now, I'm just resting for a couple of days," Williams said Friday. "But I'll be running on it and just seeing what I can do the next couple of days."
Analysis: Williams, whose strip of Kyle Williams sent the Giants into the Super Bowl, should be able to play against the Patriots next Sunday.

Hampton (knee) will have surgery to repair a torn ACL in his left knee, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Analysis: This news comes on the same day that Chris Hoke announced his retirement, leaving the Steelers with just one healthy NT, Steve McLendon, on the roster. Hampton, who turns 35 just prior to next season, indicated that he wants to play in 2012, but his $4.89 million salary ($8.1 million against the cap) suggests he would have to restructure his deal in order to return to the Steelers.

Welker (knee) was a limited practice participant all week, ESPN reports.
Analysis: The Patriots are listing Welker as questionable heading into next week, but it's difficult to imagine a more useless injury designation. Barring a setback prior to the Feb. 5 Super Bowl, Welker will play.

The Patriots listed Gronkowski (ankle) as questionable on Friday's injury report, according to ESPN.com.
Analysis: Gronkowski was the only Patriot not to practice Friday, however, there were 12 other players listed as questionable, so it is tough to determine his current health status. Still, with the Super Bowl being over a week away, it's hard to see him not playing next Sunday.
